Must Have Monday.
I needed to try for the first time the Morning Star Veggie Patties. I also had cabbage to use up and some new potatoes. When I make meals with stuff that needs to be used, I call it “must have” days. So for Must Have Monday we had the veggie patties, twice baked new potatoes and boiled cabbage. It was all awesome. We will definitely be adding the veggie patties to our menus again. They are made with mushrooms, peppers, water chestnuts, onions and carrots. They are low in calories and fat, but full of flavor.
Fall is Here.
This week I changed out the mantel with vine pumpkins, beauty berry branches and cloth pumpkins. I left the silverware picture to make it interesting. I am so busy lately, I wanted the look to work for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Hank Williams, Sr.
“Don’t worry about nothing, cause nothing is going to be alright no how.” Hank Williams
Lost Highway is a play about Hank Williams. It is playing at the Flat Rock Playhouse in Flat Rock, NC. I am taking my mom and dad to see it today.
I remember my dad putting me on his lap and singing some of Hank’s songs. They are classic and never go out of style. Hey good-looking what ya got cookin’…..
Happy Halloween 2013 !
My favorite Halloween costume that comes to mind is when I dressed up as a gypsy. It included the best mask. They don’t make masks as good as that now. It was thicker than today and very vibrant and clear colors as if it was a real gypsy face. Some years my neighbors Jack and David and I would change costumes and make the rounds again. We thought we were so smart. Lol.
